Introduction

The Burberry Craft Designer Training Public Welfare Project, launched in Kaili City, Guizhou, empowers rural female artisans by integrating traditional Miao embroidery with contemporary fashion. Through design training and entrepreneurship support, the program fosters cultural preservation and sustainable development. Deep Dip supported the initiative by crafting a marketing strategy and creating impactful visual narratives, enhancing the program’s reach and encouraging global engagement.

Challenges & Objectives

The project sought to highlight Burberry’s commitment to cultural preservation and women’s empowerment while fostering economic impact. To authentically showcase the Miao embroidery tradition, Deep Dip created a documentary-style campaign emphasizing shared values of meticulous craftsmanship and enduring quality. This approach ensured authenticity, differentiating the initiative from typical fashion campaigns while celebrating classic artistry and preserving cultural heritage.
